Consultation by telephone or email, prescriptions, referrals, letters
Even though in most cases it is not possible to operate a medical practice as a home office, there are situations in which a personal visit to the practice is not necessary. If it is medically justified, consultaions may also take place by thelephone or email. These services, as well as the issuing of prescriptions, and the writing of referrals and letters, are subject to a fee (analogous to other professional groups).

FAQ
Almost all of my patients will be surprised that I am recording this here, but the exceptions are piling up, so I will briefly summarize:
A referral for therapy (physio, speech therapy, etc.), a prescription for remedies require an examination and may/may not simply be "ordered".
And please do not be disappointed if I do not issue referrals on request ("I would like to have a lab, Rötgen etc."). On the one hand, I am legally obligated not to burden the health care system with unnecessary costs, and I also only order examinations that make medical sense. Google does not replace medical studies ;-)
A sick note requires an examination and cannot be requested by phone or email.
Prescriptions cannot be issued without an exam.
In individual cases, I can issue prescriptions and orders as part of ongoing treatment without a new examination. Please understand that this service , which saves you a visit to the doctor, is not provided free of charge.
