This is should go without saying, right?
Almost all of my patients will be surprised that I am recording this here, but the exceptions are piling up, so I will briefly summarize:
A referral for therapy (physio, speech therapy, etc.), a prescription for remedies require an examination and may/may not simply be "ordered".
And please do not be disappointed if I do not issue referrals on request ("I would like to have a lab, Rötgen etc."). On the one hand, I am legally obligated not to burden the health care system with unnecessary costs, and I also only order examinations that make medical sense. Google does not replace medical studies ;-)
A sick note requires an examination and cannot be requested by phone or email.
Prescriptions cannot be issued without an exam (exceptions are changes or renewals as part of a currently ongoing treatment if discussed).
Thank you for your understanding
