Dr. Reinhard Kürsten

After finishing high school I began studying for a medical degree at the University of Vienna, gaining my doctorate in 1986. I worked on hearing research projects in Frankfurt and San Francisco before training as an ENT specialist at the ENT University Clinic in Vienna. I was then appointed as Senior Physician at the ENT department at the hospital "Barmherzige Brüder" in Vienna. At the same time I started working in the private office of my father. In 1998 I stopped working at the hospital in order to devote more time to my office (which I have run alone since then).

In my work, I aim to provide state of the art treatments. Therefore, I regularly take part in scientific conferences and study international literature. I think it is important to treat the person as a whole. I care about my patients. If I believe that someone else can help you better, I will recommend colleagues who I trust.

Despite all progress in medicine the key to your health still lies in your hands. Eat healthily, do not smoke and stay active - both mentally and physically. If you are not getting better under treatment or you are experiencing side effects from prescribed medication, it is crucial to let me know. I can then recommend an alternative treatment or prescribe a different medication.
