Medical Practice
Appointments
As I strive to have as much time as needed for my patients, it is absolutely necessary to make appointments in advance. Please call within the stated office opening hours. Outside these times you are welcome to leave a message on the answering machine. My assistant or I will get back to you as soon as possible. Please do not use e-mail if you need an urgent appointment.
Acute cases
Together with my assistant I try to offer time for emergencies. If you or your child is sick please call. Outside office hours please leave a message on my answering machine. We will try our best to fit you in as soon as we hear your message. Please understand that we are not always able to offer you your preferred appointment and that afternoon appointments are reserved for acute cases.
Cancellations
Please consider the fact that appointments cancelled at short notice cannot be reallocated to other patients and will be charged. To avoid this please let us know at least 24 hours in advance if you are unable to attend your appointment. Outside opening hours please leave a message on the answering machine.
Waiting time
It is usually possible to avoid long waiting times. Please help us to keep waiting times short. Arrive on time and plan -especially when you come by car- extra time for traffic delay and finding a parking spot. It is your time. The next patient does not want to wait because you have been late.
Payment
Payment is required at the time of service, unless other arrangements have been made in advance. We accept cash, Bankomat or Master Card.
Consultations by telephone or email, prescriptions, and medical orders
Even though in most cases it is not yet possible to run a medical practice as a home office, there are situations in which a personal visit to the practice is not necessary. Where medically justified, consultations may also take place by telephone or email. These services, as well as the issuing of prescriptions and the writing of referrals and letters, are subject to a fee.
